What We Expect from Our Students
At Pure Value Trades, we're serious about your success — and that means we expect you to be too. Trading is a skill that requires discipline, honesty, and commitment. Here's what being a PVT student looks like:
Welcome to the Basics
You’ll kick off with an introduction to trading and our core philosophy: precision through support and resistance. To begin, you’ll need a trading platform like NinjaTrader 8 and a funded account (specific to Futures trading)—either personally funded or through one of the many prop firms (e.g., Apex, Take Profit Trader etc.).
From there, you’ll explore the markets with foundational lessons, video resources, and access to our trading community.
Practice Makes Progress
At this point you should be set up and starting out with practice on a simulator, while not yet trading live, honing your skills with market data, building discipline.
Optional accelerators like Private 1:1 Mentorships or Group Mentorships can step up your game, but the focus is on building a foundation. Ultimately, you’re accountable to yourself.
Commanding the Markets
This is where you master it all. Incorporate our trading software—Shot Caller and Shooter—if you haven’t already, using Shot Caller’s 8+ key indicators to spot trends and Shooter’s speed to execute with custom risk settings.
You’ll prove you understand trading terminology, exercise self-control, and apply your chosen money management to avoid blowing a live account. Continue building the discipline to thrive.
Taking the Leap
Ready to start your live trading journey? You’ll trade real money now, but can still go into the library to review the methods and strategies, and solidify your confidence with real-world practice.
Optional events like Summer Sizzle in Chicagoland or Desert Gold Rush in Nevada/Arizona aren’t required, but they’re great for picking up tidbits you might miss online and connecting with peers. This step ensures your skills shine as bright as gold before you fully spread your wings.
Standing on Your Own
You’re no longer dependent on us—you’ve got this! Manage your trades, software, and strategies independently, whether self-funded or scaling up with prop firm accounts (like Apex or Take Profit Trader via NinjaTrader 8).
