Student Expectations

You’ll kick off with an introduction to futures trading and our core philosophy: precision through support and resistance. To begin, you’ll need a trading platform like NinjaTrader 8 and a funded account—either personally funded or through one of the many prop firms (e.g., Apex). 

From there, you’ll explore the markets with foundational lessons, video resources, and access to our trading community. Want an edge? Our proprietary software—Shot Caller and Shooter—is an optional boost to enhance your learning.

Here, you’ll join our Live Trading Room (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–1 PM EST) and practice on a simulator, while not yet trading live. Submit your trades to our instructors via email (tradereviews@purevaluetrades.com) for personalized feedback while in the room, honing your skills with real-time insights. 

Optional accelerators like Private 1:1 Mentorships or Group Mentorships can step up your game, but the focus is on building a foundation. We won’t hold you back—if you’re ready to advance, we’ll support you with daily trading insights. Ultimately, you’re accountable to yourself, and we treat you that way, even if we think you’re not quite ready to go live.

This is where you master it all. Incorporate our trading software—Shot Caller and Shooter—if you haven’t already, using Shot Caller’s 8+ key indicators to spot trends and Shooter’s speed to execute with custom risk settings. 

You’ll prove you understand trading terminology, exercise self-control, and apply your chosen money management to avoid blowing a live account. Continue to submit trades for review, and refine your edge with expert guidance—here, you’re building the discipline to thrive 

Ready to start your live trading journey? You’ll trade real money now, but can still join the Live Trading Room for that extra hand-holding. Review your trades with our pros, ask questions on the spot, and solidify your confidence with real-world practice. 

Optional events like Summer Sizzle in Chicagoland or Desert Gold Rush in Nevada/Arizona aren’t required, but they’re great for picking up tidbits you might miss online and connecting with peers. This step ensures your skills shine as bright as gold before you fully spread your wings.

You’re no longer dependent on us—you’ve got this! Manage your trades, software, and strategies independently, whether self-funded or scaling up with prop firm accounts (like Apex via NinjaTrader 8).
